Zach Tolan was awarded a US Patent for his music notation system in 2018. He is a classically trained musician who has taught tens of thousands of music lessons and classes since 2002. Mr. Zach has studied with members of the Grand Rapids Symphony, taught for Marshall Music Co., published work on Cognitive Ergonomics and makes virtual music courses as a community expert for Niles Public Schools and Hamilton Public Schools in West Michigan. He holds a Bachelor’s in Arts from GVSU. Mr. Zach is discussing what instruments are best to begin with.
